I love Emma, I think that she is brilliant. If copyright will be a problem, hope they could untangle it in time. It is a monumental mistake not to let Ms. Emma show her version of this love story.

What a sad situation. Wise and Thompson have both said that production will start soon: as I recall, Oct or Nov. I’ve read a recent Effie bio, and I’m convinced that, with a screenplay by Thompson and Fanning as Effie, this could be a really fine movie.

aww how sad, i have heard that they already said it will start soon. so i hope it will push through. would love to see this film asap.
