Couple Applies for “Occupy Wall Street” Trademark

So, there’s this movement out there that’s protesting what they describe as rampant greed and the inequity of the top 1% of the wealthiest people having a stranglehold over the other 99%. Maybe you’ve heard of it — it’s called Occupy Wall Street.

But if one Long Island couple has its way, those three words won’t belong to the movement; they’ll be trademarked property, ready to be placed on sweatshirts, T-shirts, bumper stickers and other merchandise for sale.
